Gifts In Kind
Many youth in our programs live in low-income households where purchasing items such as school supplies, backpacks and birthday presents can be a challenge. Donations of gifts in kind support the needs of the children and families we serve and the critical work that we do to build stronger, healthier communities.
Donations needed all year round (new & unwrapped):
- School backpacks.
- Tablets/laptops.
- Birthday gifts.
- School supplies.
- Sports equipment
- Games/puzzles/crafts.
- Gift cards.
- Sporting event tickets.
- Self care items (hair products, nail polish, bubble bath, etc.).
For official tax receipt purposes, a gift in kind requires an invoice stating the value of the donated item. A receipt can be issued for the fair market value of the item; however, an official tax receipt cannot be issued for services. An appraisal will be required for items valued over $1000.00.
