At Hull Services, we recognize the importance of reflection in fostering personal and professional growth. In partnership with the University of Calgary’s Mathison Centre for Mental Health Research & Education, we conducted an eight-month study to better understand the impact of reflective practice on the well-being and competency of our frontline staff and supervisors.
The findings—captured in the infographic below—reveal that reflective practice significantly enhances emotional resilience, strengthens peer support, and creates safer, more connected workplaces. Staff who participated in regular reflection reported increased emotional awareness, improved relationships with colleagues, and greater confidence in navigating workplace challenges.
This collaborative research shows how intentional reflection helps build healthier teams and more compassionate care environments. Explore the insights below to see how reflective practice is making a meaningful difference at Hull Services.
