Myles Card Memorial Fundraiser

Submitted on Thursday, 10/08/2020 - 11:33 am

As most of you are aware, Myles was a kind-hearted, intelligent and very talented young man, whose life was cut short on November 4, 2014 due to his struggles with mental illness and addiction. Myles spent the last year of his life in programs for mental health and addiction through Hull Services. Hull Services was an immense help and support to Myles and our family, as they are with many at-risk youth and their families.

Mental health issues can impact anyone, and Myles was a perfect example of that. They are universal. Adverse childhood experiences are the source of most mental health issues disrupting learning, coping and even brain development. And, childhood mental and behavioral issues do not end. They continue into adulthood, with a completely new set of costs and unhappiness. Hull Services works to break this cycle with programs

We would like to start by saying thank you for all the support and generosity that you have shown over the past six years. With your help, we have been able to donate over $85,000 in money and gifts to Hull Services so that they can continue to  support to children’s mental health, as well as spread awareness of these critical issues designed to support children struggling with mental health issues and change the direction for thousands of children and families.

With the current pandemic and health regulations, the Sixth Annual Myles Card Memorial Fundraiser will be taking a different form this year. Therefore, rather than holding a public event, we are asking our supporters to make a donation in Myles’ memory directly to Hull Services.

If you would like to contribute to this important cause and donate to Hull Services in memory of Myles, donations can be made by cheque, cash/ E-Transfer or through the link below.  All donations over $20 will receive a charitable tax receipt from Hull Services.

Thank you for your continued support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the number below.
