The Adopt-a Family & Young Adult program matches you directly with a family or young adult and you are provided with a “wish list” specific to them. The program is designed to support those receiving services through Hull, who would go without gifts at Christmas time. This includes families accessing community-based programs, as well as young adults receiving support through Hull’s Interdependent Living Services program.
Decide which donation process works best for you: Shop or Donate
You can either shop for a recipient or donate funds online.
If you choose to shop, one of the Happy Hullidays, please complete the form below and one of our committee members will contact you the details of your donation.
Gifts may be wrapped or unwrapped. Delivery details will be discussed when matched with a recipient. Some recipients may not feel comfortable meetings with donors.
To make a cash donation, use the donation form below. Tax receipts are automatically issued for online donations.
Many of the individuals we serve have experienced trauma and adversity that impacts their sense of safety. Some people may also feel embarrassed that they need help.
Unless this has been specifically arranged and agreed on with the recipient, please only pre-packaged, non-perishable food. There may be unknown allergies in the family.
Because we receive referrals from individual adults receiving our services, and family sizes from 2 people up, we can usually match donors to just the right size. We may also be able to match you to a family to purchase gifts and we can use other donations to supplement with grocery gift cards. All donations make a big difference.
Please contact one of the committee members if you have any further questions.
